Self employed is say taking on work for which you can charge and make
a profit, and possibly have help from a sub-contractor.
Running a business is;
stepping back and working on the business rather than in the business.
This might mean
identifying your ideal customer and marketing to them
using automation to save time on administration
Creating a clear pricing strategy
Doing "stuff" that adds value
Differentiating your business from all the others
